Workflow
A sequence of connected nodes you build in n8n — the automation itself. Every plan supports as many workflows as you need; workflow count is never a billed or capped metric.

Fair use
"No per-execution billing" means your plan's parallel-execution capacity and fair use govern volume — not a metered counter. If usage patterns suggest you've outgrown your plan, we reach out proactively before any suspension, so you upgrade on your terms.

Long-running or resource-heavy workflows (large payloads, AI-agent memory, video/image processing) draw more from your plan's parallel-execution capacity than a typical short workflow. We help you move an existing n8n instance. What matters most in any migration: your workflows, credentials, encryption key, and webhook URLs all need to survive the move without breaking integrations.
From n8n Cloud
Export your workflows from n8n Cloud and we import them onto your OpenHosst instance. Credentials generally need re-entry since n8n Cloud doesn't export its encryption key — confirm this with support for your specific setup before migrating.
From Docker / your own VPS
If you can share your .n8n data and encryption key, workflows and credentials can typically migrate without re-entering them. This is the most complete migration path — our team scopes the database side (SQLite or PostgreSQL) with you before anything moves.
From Railway, Render, or similar PaaS
Same principle as a Docker/VPS migration — the more of your encryption key, database, and environment config you can provide, the fewer credentials need re-entry. Webhook URLs will change with your domain unless you point your existing domain at OpenHosst instead.
From another managed provider
Same considerations as a Docker/VPS migration. Ask your current provider whether they'll give you a full export including the encryption key — that's the detail that determines how clean the move is.
Every migration is scoped with you first — timeline, rollback plan, and what to expect — before anything moves. If your setup is complex (lots of custom nodes, a large database), that conversation happens before you commit, not after something breaks.
